News from the Support Team: Help us not be labelled as spam

November 29, 2022
Although we have had this issue before, it appears to be back again.
Emails from @bookcrossing.com are being labeled as spam by many email service providers around the world, and its causing us issues with being able to communicate with our members.

The spam/junk folder isn’t a place we want our email messages to go. Because if our message lands there, you, the recipient may never see the messages.
It appears to be happening with PM's between members, as well as email responses from our Volunteer Support Team, replying to those members who contact us with questions or concerns.

We are therefore asking for your help, in that you check your junk/spam email folder and if any messages are there from @bookcrossing.com, that you 'Whitelist' them.

'Whitelisting' is the process of adding an email to an approved sender list, so emails from that sender are never moved to the spam folder. Instead, when a recipient whitelists an email address, they are confirming that they know and trust the sender. This tells an email server (like Gmail) to move messages to the inbox directly. Always!

HOW TO DO IT:
Find the email you have received into your spam/junk folder and add the sender's email address to your contact list. It’s that simple!

If you'd like any further helpful information regarding Whitelisting, you can find more by clicking HERE.

We thank you in advance for your help and support with this.
