I am a nontraditional grad student in medical anthropology, with specialization interests in infectious diseases,epidemiology and public health; human rights; ecological global changes in prior times as related to understanding our current situation. I also have some involvement in wildlife conservation/restoration/rescue, and interests in ecological restoration in general. On other levels - I read incessantly - everything from sci-fi to alternative theory of human and civil development to ethnic lit to mystery/crime/forensic fiction....as well as all sorts of stuff related to my field..somcetimes by a VERY long stretch in terms of relevancy. LOL
I break away from the reading for crocheting, some gardening, spending time with my 100+ pound rambunctious dogs - and ethnic foods. The ethnic foods are a passion - both cooking, or bailing out of the kitchen to eat out. Give me ethnic food - or dont feed me. LOL
I REALLY like this idea of "releasing books into the wild" - gee, ya think maybe because of my interests with wildlife??? LOL
