Extended Profile
"What really knocks me out is a book that, when you're all done reading it, you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it."
- J.D. Salinger
"People disagreeing everywhere you look, makes you wanna stop and read a book."
Bob Dylan
I love to read, and write too, when I have time between, family and work. Just as well I am a very fast reader. I have lots of kids and a wonderful husband who I enjoy spending time with. We camp, when we can. We do day trips, when we can.
I taught English for several years...I loved teaching Literature in particular. I made a move to primary a couple of years ago and love that too.
I love ANYTHING to do with books, whether it be bookmarks, pens, blank pages, stationary...you name it - even if the link is tentative, guaranteed I'll find it! I would rather read than watch tv, I read quickly and enthusiastically.....I need to read. My long term dream is to open a bookshop so I can just sit an read or write during quiet times and can have a perfect excuse to chat all day about books!
I am open to trade, swap or even just give away...just ask and chances are I will say yes if you would like something from my shelf...I happily share.
My Birthday Buddy is: Starflash whose birthday is on March 24th...
"The greatest part of a writer's time is spent in reading, in order to write; a man will turn over half a library to make one book."
