Extended Profile
Therapy Cafe has generously allowed us to use the cafe as our Official Bookcrossing Zone to share the books in the cafe, as well as other books that our Bookcrossers have chosen to release on the bookshelves there. Choose a book from the shelves, enjoy a cuppa good coffee, a glass of wine, or a Martini and some quality reading time, or pop on down to attend our monthly bookcrossing meetings. Therapy Cafe also has free WI-FI. We hope to see you there!

Dayton BookCrossing Meeting
For more information visit: Dayton BookCrossing Meeting
This is a community group for what was formerly the Dayton BookCrossing MeetUp. This is a relaxed group who meet in person to discuss books, BookCrossing, trade books, have something to eat or a beverage, relax and have fun! There are no major rules to the group other than you must have an interest in books, BookCrossing and you should show up to a meeting or two. When we get together we discuss just about anything. Please feel free to bring along your BookCrossing-registered books to trade, ideas, or anything else you think might be fun. Come, bring a friend and a little change for the parking meter and a coffee, and we'll have fun!
Because we have members from places as far away as Troy, Springfield and Middletown, we meet in Downtown Dayton at Therapy Cafe.
In January, those attending the meetup decided that we didn't necessarily all want to read the same book but that it might be interesting to read books from the same genre and discuss that. Here is the genre schedule for 2005:
February: Romance (Valentine's Day - February 14)
March: Women's Lit/Chick Lit (International Women's Day - March 8)
April: Humor Book/Book that really made you laugh (Humor Month)
May: Asian/Pacific Authors or Settings (Asian/Pacific Heritage Month)
June: Gay/Lesbian (Pride Month)
July: American Historical Fiction (Independence Day - July 4)
August: Children/Teen/Young Adult Fiction (In honor of the 16 July release of the new Harry Potter book)
September: Hispanic/Latino Authors or Settings (Hispanic/Latino Heritage Month)
October: Horror (Halloween)
November: TBD possibly travel/adventure/pilgramage books (Thanksgiving Day)
December: Easy Read (Because we'll be gearing up for the holidays and an easy read is all we can handle)
I hope you'll join us...to share new genres and revisit old ones!
