Extended Profile
I'm just a girl who loves to read and loves having good books to read. I've been reading as long as I can remember. One memory I have is reading Famous Five and Secret Seven in church. Between the ages of 10 - 12, there was Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, Anne of Green Gables, R.L. Stine (thank God I got out of that phase pretty quickly!), Christopher Pike, Sweet Valley Twins, and Sweet Valley High.

I don't remember how I moved on to other books. It probably happened between the ages of 12 - 14. Another memory is going to the British Council library on Saturday afternoons to read books or borrow books. That was when I read books by other British authors.

In secondary school (high school), I started reading Stephen King, Agatha Christie, Micheal Crichton, David Eddings, John Grisham, Tom Clancy, and Robert Jordan. After I left school and went on to college, my reading material covered more genres. I borrowed books from friends, or bought them for myself. I started gravitating towards autobiographies and memoirs, fantasy and science fiction, essays, colonial writing and women's writing.

Favourite authors (those that I've had to chance to read in this short life of mine, so far):
- Neil Gaiman (Dream! 'nuff said)
- Catherine Lim
- Han Suyin (Eurasian writer brought up in China)
- Agatha Christie (Hercule Poirot)
- John Irving (his kooky characters and their kookier habits)

Note: Most of the books I list is for swapping only. I buy books to keep them. If there is a book I am willing to part with, I will indicate it in the journal entry. If I have extra copies, I don't mind sending them out. And I'm definitely open to receiving books *grins*

My BC wishlist.
