Extended Profile
Hi, I first read about bookcrossing a couple of years ago and thought what a brilliant idea but never got round to doing anything about it. Just recently I discovered a link from the librarythings.com website. I'm about to be made redundant so hopefully I will have more time to get involved. I'm already getting really excited and have just ordered my first book release pack.
Favourite authors (in no particular order):- (US)Faulkner, Steinbeck, Larry McMurtry,(UK)Margaret Forster, Alexander McCall Smith, John Le Carre, J K Rowling.
I'm not really a genre reader( although I have a paticular liking for books about the Wild West!) and with the exception of the above I like to try lots of different authors.
Favourite Books :- Midnight's Children (Salman Rushdie), Love in the Time of Cholera (Gabriel Garcia Marquez), Behind the Scenes at the Museum (Kate Atkinson),Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee ( Dee Brown), Lonesome Dove ( Larry McMurtry), Dr Zhivago, Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights.
I also enjoy biography and autobiography - the ones by Dirk Borgarde being among my absolute favourites.
