Reading is one of my passions. If it has words on it, I will read it. This site fascinates me for a number of reasons... I've often wondered exactly how many books I read in a month, a year.. and vaguely considered keeping a list. Bookcrossing wil do wonderfully for that! Also, I buy most of my books used - like most booklovers, I can't afford to feed my appetite at Barnes & Noble... I'm much too hungry! I've bought books in one country while on a trip, only to discover by a stamp inside the book that it was originally purchased in a bookstore just down the street from where I lived, half a globe away. (Beaches) I once read a book in highschool that had my uncles name scrawled in a margin from when he was my age and had checked out the same book from the library... (Day of the Triffids) I think that's fascinating! And I always wonder what happens to a book when I let it out of my hands. It's hard to let go of my books, and I always hope that they land in good hands after they leave mine. With this site... hopefully I'll find out where some of them go!
