R. Michael Phillips is a classically trained artist who has been painting for over 30 years. He has done numerous commissions and illustrations for national products. Through the years he has enjoyed a number of local commissions, including a portrait of William Penn for the Philadelphia Bicentennial Committee. Writing was always something he enjoyed doing, but never had the opportunity to pursue seriously until now. Michael co-authored and illustrated a children's book, and his latest project is a mystery series. By combining his creative talents with his passion for art and antiquities, he conceived the fictional world of the East London Adventurers Club.

His first mystery in the series, "Along Came A Fifer...", was released by Asylett Press in July 2009. Look for it on-line or ask for it at your local bookshop. Michael is currently working on the second book in the East London Adventurers Club series- "Rook, Rhyme & Sinker" -which should be ready for release late summer of 2010.
