10/19/2008: We moved again. Sheesh. We only moved 13 miles this time so it wasn't nearly so bad. :o) I have a better idea of where my books are now...
I did something very daring...for me. I gave in to pressure and published a few of my Regencies. They can be found on www.amazon.com/---/ref=nb_ss_gw?... target="0">Amazon currently in trade paperback and Kindle form. I will at some point release some into the BookCrossing community, as well. They are definitely my babies but I do realize that while some readers will like them, there will be some who hate them. :o) Purchases are not necessary but would be appreciated since my husband has been unable to work for 11 days now. (He had an accident in the woods that put him in the hospital for a week and resulted in two surgeries. Little tip: Chainsaws WILL climb under chaps in their search for flesh...)

8/17/2008: Wow, many months have passed since last I updated. So much has happened and continues to happen.
First, we did move back to Michigan. We now live near the small town of Harrison. But we still own our house in Maryland so moving back would not be too difficult. Our house here is too small for all we own so my books are packed away in totes and stored. Requests for books, therefore, require me to do a LOT of searching, so delays are inevitable.
Second, I have my online bath n body business that does take much of my time with two websites to keep track of. I also sell my lip balms in local stores and so have to keep track of that as well. To check out what I sell, click here: www.lawsofnaturebodycare.com" target="0">Laws of Nature e-Store or stores.ebay.com/Laws-of-Nature-Body-Care" target="0">Laws of Nature eBay Store
Third, we recently bought a 1979 Corvette, which we are restoring. My youngest brother is helping me install the interior while my older brother and my father are helping my husband with the engine, body, and everything else. We would like to take the car in the parade across the Mackinac Bridge this year and so are working our collective tails off. (My older brother has a 1974 Stingray and my father has a 1980 Corvette that they take every year.)
Fourth, I am working on getting a few of my regencies published. I have two in the proofing stages, being read by friends and family to detect any spelling, grammar, or historical inaccuracies. I have five more in the editing stages, getting some scenes cut and revised. Very time consuming and mostly takes place when I should be sleeping.
Fifth, I still have my two children and husband to take up every other second in my life, so books have been pushed a little to the side for the time being. I still read a page or two every couple of weeks or so...

12/13/2007: So, obviously, we ended up not moving. Let me explain a little about my husband. He is the sort that will make a spur of the moment decision, pack everything, and move halfway across the country. Since we've had kids, however, he stops to think...for several moments at least. This time, he was considering moving back home to work for his family--NEVER a good idea--and decided after a few weeks back here that I was right after all...go figure. So here we stay.
That said, I have started a very small at-home business making natural bath & body products (the link above is for my eBay store). This leaves me very little time for books since I still have those pesky kids hanging around. (Just kidding. I love the little darlings!...The kids...You thought I meant the books, didn't you?) So, the point of my telling you all this...if you ask for a book, it could be several days before you get a response. Please be patient. By the way, offering a trade will not induce me to send you a book unless it's from my wishlist. If I have a book that you desperately need and yet you have nothing from my wishlist to offer in trade, still ask. If you are in the US, I'll send you the book provided I still have it. International I still can't do unless you offer me a collectible spoon from your city/country in trade. I still have a mad fascination for the things and no opportunity to get them myself...

4/19/2007: I have posted in the forum www.bookcrossing.com/---/4339351" target=_blank>(click here to view thread)that I have several boxes of books in need of a good home. They are available for the cost of shipping on a first come, first served basis. Check out the thread for details and to see which boxes are still available.
3/19/2007: Hello, all! I have been super busy the past few months and, well, things have been neglected and unfortunately, my book addiction caught the brunt of said neglect. I apologize if you have recently sent me requests for books and were ignored. It was not intentional, I assure you. If you still want the books you inquired about, simply try again. Thank you! :o)

Trading...and stuff: As some of you already know, I'm willing to trade. If you see something in my available list that catches your eye, just let me know and it's probably yours. It's ok to politely request TBR books as well, but please be patient. It may take me a while to get to them even if I move them up on my list. I'm one of those readers that has to be in a particular mood for a particular book... Please check the journal before requesting anything. For some of my TBR books I have warned they they are likely to end up in my PC. But still, it doesn't hurt to ask, does it? Some PC books may also end up traded, so feel free to inquire about those as well. The only PC bks that will NEVER be traded are my antique bks but there are only a few of them even listed here & many of my research materials. Many of the fictional paperback bks that are marked PC are generally just because I want to read them again and that seems to be a safe, organized place to put them until I'm ready to make them avl...Happy Hunting!
Books I send to people in trades or otherwise: Feel free to do whatever you like with these book(s). If you want to wild-release them, go for it! If you find yourself completely in love with one or more, keep them. Trade them to others if the fancy strikes you. Give them to non-BCers if you want. Whatever you decide is totally up to you. Once they leave my house, I no longer consider them mine. :) If I send you a book that I have been requested to release when I'm through with it, please do the same. Otherwise, the sky's the limit!

Places I've sent books... Australia: Victoria * Canada: Alberta, Manitoba, Nova Scotia * Cyprus * Dominican Republic * Germany * Iran * Malaysia * UK: England: Essex, Devon; Wales * USA: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, West Virginia; US Territories: Puerto Rico...I think that's all... :D

I want to point out that the books registered here do not necessarily reflect my own reading habits/preferences. I've managed to accrue several hundred books over the past few years from eBay auctions and, while selling many of them off and on, I have still retained a lot. But now, thanx to this site, I can give these books to someone who will read/enjoy them, and I no longer have to pack them in boxes. (We move a lot.) The ones I have read, I've tried to rate to the best of my memory as well as give a brief reason for my rating. Thank you. :)

In regard to the books marked Permanent Collection:These, of course, do reflect my reading habits. They are the books I have loved and as such, I want to let others know why. Several are ones that I want to re-read but I have no idea when I can actually get to them—most of them, in fact, are ones I just want to re-read. I have kept them this long and there may be a reason why, although I can't remember...So, some of them will one day end up released/traded. :)
