Extended Profile
Hello everyone!!! And a very special hello and thank you if you've just caught one of my books!
I am Ratwoman because I love rats and mice and I like to take any opportunity to give them a bit of good PR. I've been lucky enough to share most of my adult life with these affectionate, intelligent, and much-maligned creatures. The beautiful rat in the photo is my 'nephew', Tom. He belongs to my sister Joolsonamission. Unfortunately I can't have a rat of my own at the moment as in December 2010 I was 'adopted' by Lily - a rescue Jack Russell who came complete with all the typical terrier tendencies!
I'm a lifelong bookworm and enjoy a variety of genres, especially horror fiction, biographies, true crime, and any books concerning mental health.
My ultimate Bookcrossing mission is to release as many mental health related books as possible. 1 IN 4 ADULTS IN THE UK WILL EXPERIENCE SOME FORM OF MENTAL HEALTH PROBLEM IN THEIR LIFETIMES - but few will ever get to receive professional help. I would like to think at least some of them will find one of my books.
I absolutely love Bookcrossing and feel it's actually made a difference to my quality of life. It's wonderful to feel part of such a mission, even if only a very, very tiny part...
