"We never tire of the friendship we form with books"
I love BookCrossing!! Since joining I have read the most amazing books that I would have never have found if it hadn't been for other bookcrossers. I have been sent RABCKS, joined bookrings and now I have set up the StGeorges OBCZ and am starting my own bookrings. I find the whole concept very exciting and the bookcrossing community very kind and generous. I love to get recommendations of books to read because then I read titles I might never have thought to try. Thank you to SerenityBlue for introducing me!
I have joined BCUK which is a discussion group for anyone, not just people from the UK, where you can find lots of info on bookrings/rays, meet-ups and more. It's a lively, chatty group where you can find help and advice on any topic not just bookcrossing. I have also joined
Bcuk Extra which is a great place where you can go bookswapping, join virtual bookboxes and generally join in the fun.
For Hampshire Bookcrossers there are two groups set up to provide information on meet-ups in Hampshire and to discusss venues etc. BCHants and Southampton Bookcrossers.
When I first joined I didn't have a long wish list, as one of my aims was to read a variety of books that I might not have otherwise have chosen, hopefully recommended by other BCers. However as this is now happening the wish list is growing (Thank you BC!) and I am using it to help me remember authors I have enjoyed and other books by them I would like to read. Apart from blood thirsty books, I would like to try any books that have been read and enjoyed by others and hope to find even more great books that I may never have thought to read.
For anyone wanting to move books on that are not appearing on wish lists and you don't want to wild release Bookmooch is a great place to swap books. You just register books you want to give away and gain points for each one that is chosen. You can then use those points to mooch books from other people.

You choose your friends wisely and even though they
may be few in number, they are high in importance.
You feel most comfortable when you can follow the
crowd and let others make decisions.
But that's not to say you can't make up your own
mind if you need to.
Faithful and true,
Piglets make the best friends.
