Extended Profile
This is a not-so-hot photo of yours truly. But that's what I actually look like, more or less, in case the suspense was KILLING you.

I apologize if it takes me longer to get to the post office these days. New town, new schedule, etc.

ALSO: I may decline to participate in bookrings for which I signed up when I was a 9-to-5er. Now that I've got two part-time jobs and an overloaded courseload I'm balking a little. I will participate in some and will do my best to turn them over in a reasonable amount of time.

Thanks to my BX friends who have been supportive and thoughtful through the recent move and my relative absence from the fora, especially to BlueAmazon, FSR44, deenbat, weeblet and beteljooz.

Below is my bookshelf, which is not necessarily representative of my tastes, merely of books I own and with which I am willing to part, either temporarily (those marked "Permanent Collection") or permanently. I am always glad to share but, as I am beginning graduate school and tightening my purse, I do not anticipate being able to ship internationally.

NEW BOOKRING IDEA (Please PM if interested): in response to lucybrown's "Who's Afraid of Russian Literature?" rings, I propose a twentieth-century Japanese literature ring, including, perhaps, Kobo Abe, Yukio Mishima, Kenzaburo Oe and Haruki Murakami. I'm not sure how this will work, but I think I would prefer that participants read all selections (let's say three or four) in order to compare and comment. I will post a thread on the ring in the forum if I can find all the titles I would like to include. (note to self: interested parties include MartiP, bookczuk and quinnsmom)
