Extended Profile
I'm a working wife and mom of a 7 year old boy and 3 year old girl! I found BookCrossing while looking for a reading group, and love the concept.
I took a break from BookCrossing for 3 years while training in Kajukenbo Kung Fu. I also took up running. In June, 2007, I earned my Black Belt and in July I ran my first half marathon (13 miles).
During that 3 year break, I read a few books but forgot to register them. The Secret Life of Bees and The Mermaid Chair are a couple of memorable ones. My most recent, however, was so powerful..."Three Cups of Tea". I want to use the strength of BookCrossing to help promote this book.
Successful Wild Releases:
The Nanny Diaries - bleachers at the soccer field
Beloved - breakfast nook at hotel
Like Water for Chocolate - bench in Cannon Beach, outside candy store
The Glass Lake - magazine rack at hair salon
Where is the Mango Princess - donated to support group
Success Ratio: 5/8, 63%
Bookrings I've Organized:
The Gravel Drive
The Crimson Petal and the White
