When I read about BookCrossers in a news story, I was enchanted! What a great idea.
Now I know what to do with all those books I just can't throw away.
I'm a medical librarian in a Chicago suburb and have been reading since I was four years old. I owe my love of reading to my father who read his college text books to me as he rocked me to sleep every night when I was a baby and my older brother who read to me aloud from his school books. I think watching his finger running across the page was what did the trick. One day I realized I was reading along with him!
The best gift I can think of is a good book!
