Turning Chobham into a library
I am sure my love of books came from my parents. One of my earliest memories was coming home and finding my mother had completely lost track of time and all the stuff she had to do, because she was frantically trying to finish a book before we came home from school.
Now I can't imagine my life without books but for many people they don't realise that books can bring them so much pleasure and escape from a mundane day. I can help a handful, but BookCrossing can reach millions.
Bookcrossing has completely changed how I look at the books on my shelf.
I now realise that they are lonely up there and they want to travel not stay stuck on my shelf gathering dust.
Also, AND THIS IS WEIRD The more books I release the more seem to arrive at my door. from all over the world. The less precious I am about my books the more I receive.
So I am now trying to share morer books in Chobham, leaving some around the village for people to enjoy. If you see a book that you would like to read then please take it home with you. After you have finished with the book, either pass it on to a friend. If you want to leave a journal here, saying what you thought of the book that would be great.
So go on tell us what you think of the book you picked up
and if you would like a box of books at your office then do get in touch.
