Extended Profile
I love books. I have more of a tendency to keep all the books I buy--it's hard for me to part with any. That said, BookCrossing has been great to distribute those books I am ready to part with.
I mainly catch books at the Evanston (IL) BookCrossing meet-up group I attend. I also have many non-BC friends who clean up their bookshelves and give me books to release into the BC universe. As a result, my BC bookshelf is not truly representative of my reading tastes.
To remedy that, here are some of my favorite books (in no particular order):
1. Something Fresh - PG Wodehouse
2. Assassination Vacation - Sarah Vowell
3. Alias Grace - Margaret Atwood
4. The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency book series - Alexander McCall Smith
5. Blue Latitudes - Tony Horwitz
6. Crackpot - John Waters
7. The Talented Mr. Ripley series - Patricia Highsmith
8. Pride & Prejuidice - Jane Austen
9. The Hobbit & The Lord of the Rings trilogy - JRR. Tolkien
10. Bored of the Rings - The Harvard Lampoon
11. The Shipping News - E. Annie Proulx
12. Cat Getting Out of a Bag and Other Observations - Jeffrey Brown
13. The Time Traveler's Wife - Audrey Niffenegger
14. The Great Gatsby - F. Scott Fitzgerald
15. The Greenlanders - Jane Smiley
16. Catcher in the Rye - JD. Salinger
17. Cotillion - Georgette Heyer
18. Midnight's Children - Salman Rushdie (bc# 851-5037916)
