Extended Profile
I am an avid book reader, reading about a book a week. I love releasing books to friends...and the only stipulation I give them is "I don't want it back...keep it or give it to someone else."
So, BookCrossing is perfect. Sometimes I register the book, and then release it to a friend, and tell them about BookCrossing, and say that when they are finished, to release the book somewhere public, or to another friend. Other times I send the book off along somewhere in downtown Huntington Beach...or wherever.
Note: If you see "one of my reference books" in the journal entry for the book, I'll probably not want to release it.
I attach release-photos to just about all my releases into the wild. Check them out.
A few of my favorite releases:
McNally's Gamble One of my very first releases...and it went for a cruise!
Lifeguard Tower Nice photo
Bolsa Chica Wetlands Nice photo
Parlez-vous français?
A book that made it all the way to Moscow in one leap
A book doing what Bookcrossing was made for
