OUR PURPOSE...
...is to serve as a mobile animal-themed bookcrossing zone traveling to animal-related community and fundraising events in Rowan County, North Carolina.
OUR MISSION...
...is to bolster literary interaction through the use of two shared common bonds - our love of animals and our love of books.

Please note that Four on the Floor is not specifically targeting children's animal books or animal reference books to give away or receive as donations. Our hope is to have available a large variety of books of interest
for adults and teens, as well.

If you've found a book at one of these events, we hope that you enjoy reading it, then either return it to Four on the Floor at our next scheduled event or pass it along to a friend. Either way, we hope that you enter atleast one journal entry using the
BCID number usually located on a bookcrossing label in the front portion of the book.
Until we build up our bookshelf inventory, Four on the Floor books will only be available Offline. After our shelves have been sufficiently filled, we'll be very pleased to be in a position of conducting online exchanges.

Sadly and mysteriously, Harvey passed away in August 2009 at the age of seventeen months. He was an affectionate little boy with a soft coat and a loud but very sweet meow. I usually called him Harvey-Boy.
Harvey had a foot fettish and a tennis shoe - preferrably occupied - was his absolute favorite. He'd rub and rub and then roll right over top and go to sleep.
Harvey also enjoyed sleeping in our neighbor's go-cart.
