Hello Bookcrossers,
flora-post is my user name (not my real name) but please feel free to call me ``flora''. For those of you who don't know, I chose the name Flora Post because of the heroine in ``Cold Comfort Farm''. Orphaned Flora ends up at her distant relation's -- the Starkadders --farm. They are more than a bit stuck in their ways and Flora puts them right. She's sparkly, witty and triumphs over obstacles, but still has time to worry about matchmaking and fashion.
I am not adverse to the odd bit of chicklit -- in fact I wrote the acknowledgements for my PhD thesis in the style of Bridget Jones. Not that anyone would ever want to read that. Away from the academic stuff, I really enjoy travel books and biographies.
thanks,
flora
PS
I am starting a bookring for Gilead by Marilynne Robinson.
Please pm me if you are interested.
