Extended Profile
Until recently, I was an avid reader.
I have incurred neck and arm injuries from overuse of the computer. All my reading must now be accomplished sitting in posturally correct positions (I miss slouching) and using a reader's stand.I used to pull out a book while waiting for my hamburger in the drive-thru line. I used to emerge from the bathroom only after starting - and finishing - a 300 page mystery. Now I read more book reviews than books. And I don't finish any books that I find merely okay.
I enjoy mystery books (Sayers, Fyfield, Evanovich), on thinking (Win Wenger, Tony Buzan, DeBono's "Six Thinking Hats"), neuroacoustics & psychophysics (Masters, etc.), management (Herding Cats," Winnie the Pooh on Problem Solving") and light, theoretical astrophysics, and humorous character books (Gerald Durrell).
