Extended Profile
"In books lies the soul of the whole past time."Thomas Carlyle
I will read pretty much any book that I come across, either because I think it sounds interesting, or because someone recommends it. For instance, ever since a University friend lent me her copy of 'Hide & Seek', I've been hooked on James Patterson, particularly the Alex Cross novels. But at almost the other end of the spectrum I really like 19th Century literature too!
If you see anything on my bookshelf that you're interested in, then send me a PM, I'm willing to post anywhere, though depending on the weight/distance involved & how 'rich' I'm feeling, it may be by surface mail only. I may loan out some of my PC books, but it will depend on how I feel/what the book is/what 'value' the book has for me!
Some of my favourite authors are:
James Patterson, Karin Slaughter, David Baldacci, David & Leigh Eddings, Bill Bryson, Jane Austen, Elizabeth Gaskell, John Irving, Maeve Binchy, Thomas Hardy, Lee Child, Stephen Donaldson, LM Montgomery, Kathy Reichs, Jennifer Crusie, Katharine Kerr
"All that mankind has done, thought or been: it is lying as in magic preservation in the pages of books." Thomas Carlyle
