Extended Profile
I live in Florida, but I'm from New York originally.
I used to love Buddhist and Hindu books, but lately I find
myself just reading political magazines.
I was introduced to a book called The Urantia Book which
fought the idea of reincarnation. That changed, I guess, my whole
appreciation of the East, not to mention all the philosophical
discord between personalists and impersonalists, this sect and that, that
goes on in spiritual and philosophical literature but never gets into
personal conversaton except as a note of antagonism.
I finished High School and Community College, but the University of Florida
was too Nixonized for my taste.
There was little hope for a hippie/bi/spiritual thing like me at that place.
I've visited out west, Colorado was as far as I ever got and I hoped to go
to Naropa there. The cost was too much for me and I didn't expect much help from home.
I also visited Gaskins Farm in Tennessee and Walsen II in Virginia. This was part of going to a Rainbow Festival in Arkansas in 1975. Also visited a little commune outside of Walden II called The Cuckoo Farm.
Living with my mom and unemployed these days.
I have taken some intensives in Siddha Yoga. Many, actually.
Other sects have been of interest to me as well.
And I've mentioned the Urantia Book.
Have you ever heard of Sister Kerista?
