I have too many books!! |
Anyway, hello fellow Bookcrossers. :-)
I am another book lover who has loads of books. Some books are like old friends, dog eared and read many times, and I can't bear to be without those. However I have some books on my shelf that i am sure I won't read again, however enjoyable they were the first time, I just didn't (until now) know what to do with them. Therefore I am trying to clear out these books slowly and releasing them into the world is a fun way to do this.
I release most of my books in Coventry, UK, as that's where I live, and Birmingham, UK, as that's where I work. The ones released in Nottingham have been released by my parents, who also think I have too many books.
I am part of the Coventry bookcrossing group who has A yahoo group here We meet on the 1st tuesday of the month at 7pm (ish) at the Windmill pub on Spon Street.
Books I like (For Secret Santas and similar)
I like sci-fi/fantasy and detective/thrillers more than other types of books. I am also trying to read a lot more drama type books, but since I will read almost anyhting as long as it's fiction, I don't have a wishlist. I prefer to learn about stuff by reading fiction where the author has done good background research, than by reading non-fiction. I also like general cookery books as long as they are fairly easy to follow (and preferably have pics in).
Authors I alreday have most of the books from, and therefore please don't send me any, are: Nora Roberts, Colin Forbes, Clive Cussler, Dean Koontz, Terry Pratchett (These belong to my OH as I don't get on with his books) & Piers Anthony.
Happy Bookcrossing, Jo
