Extended Profile
Some of my favorite books to date are:
"Ender's Game" by Orson Scott Card
"Wrapt in Crystal" by Sharon Shinn
"The Alienist" by Caleb Carr
"The Ballad of Frankie Silver" by Sharyn McCrumb
Of the classics, I'd have to say my favorites are:
"To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee
"The Jungle" by Upton Sinclair
"A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" by Betty Smith
"Of Mice and Men" by John Steinbeck
My most interesting search for a book was for "The God Game" by
Clinton Smith. I ran across this book browsing through Bookcrossing
and just had to read it! I searched all over the major bookstores in
the U.S. (and all of those listed on Bookcrossing) and could not find
this book anywhere. I finally searched the internet, found the
publisher (in New Zealand) and ordered the book from them. It was
a long time in transit but worth the wait....I enjoyed it very much!
"I read because one life isn't enough and in the pages of a book I can be anybody."
------ Newbery Award Winner Richard Peck-------
"Literature is where I go to explore the highest and lowest places in
human society and in the human spirit, where I hope to find not
absolute truth but the truth of the tale, of the imagination and of the heart."
-----------Salman Rushdie------------
