Extended Profile
Ever since I learned to read, I have been a huge fan of books. I love to read, to dream of places I've never been. Books become like old friends, familiar faces in the story lines.
As an adult, life became too busy to read often. For many years, I saw books that I wanted to read, but passed up - no time, have to work, have to keep up a home - whatever the excuse may be. Now, I am getting older - and wiser - and realizing that I *NEED* to read. I am taking the bus now to work, giving me hours of free time to read. This is a good thing, as I've collected a ton of books in the past year or so, and I need to get through them all.
My friend Kymberlie, an avid BookCrossing member, encouraged me to check the site out again. Years ago, when I first saw it, it was just starting up - and nothing like it is today. It's wonderful to see how it has grown, and I am glad she nudged me in to joining. I am looking forward to the experience!
I can be found online in a variety of places: Big Pink Cookie, Pixelog, Blogomania and Picture Yourself are among the many places you can find me.
Any book on my shelf with an @ symbol in front of it is available for RABCK or trade. Let me know if there is something that interests you! If you want, feel free to send me something from my wishlist (thanks Cliff1976!) - books are always given a warm welcome and a loving home for a time before being set free again!
