Extended Profile
I recently joined BookCrossing, and I will be updating this page with some more information when I can. Meanwhile, I've been having lots of fun letting my books go out to play by themselves.
I like to read a lot of things--I've even been known to skim the phonebook looking for interesting names. Yep, I've got a weird streak. These days I read a lot of romance. I like books with a historical bent; humor is also important. Just to give you an idea, right now my current reading pile contains:
Vanity Fair, William Makepeace Thackery
Chocolat, Joanne Harris
The Fourth Bear, Jasper Fforde
The Virgin's Lover, Philippa Gregory
The Blind Assassin, Margaret Atwood
Beauvallet, Georgette Heyer (can't get into it, though)
Emma and Northanger Abbey, Jane Austen
Fire Wife, Tinling Choong *finished!
Lost in a Good Book, Jasper Fforde *finished!
Something Rotten, Jasper Fforde *finished!
Crossworld, Marc Romano *finished!
The Ruby in Her Navel, Barry Unsworth *finished!
Angels Fall, Nora Roberts *finished!
The Poyson Garden, Karen Harper *finished!
Dead as a Doornail, Charlaine Harris *finshed!
Grave Surprise, Charlaine Harris *finished!
I kind of get sidetracked into other books... :)
I also found the neat wishlist gadget at cliff1976's wishlists for BookCrossers. Very cool!
My wishlist, containing both the 'yeah, in a million years' and the 'that's doable in my lifetime' wishes. This is by no means everything I want to read, but that would be an impossibly long wishlist!
