Extended Profile
I'm a big fan of Bookcrossing and the spin-off relay site. I've done a few wild releases, but right now most of my bookcrossing activity involves trades with other members or participation in ray/rings. I really enjoy learning about new authors that way.
My on-line bookshelf does not include any books from my real, physical book shelves - I don't have the time to register all the books I own! I only register books that I intend to pass on (which do not necessarily reflect my own reading tastes).
My philosophy on bookcrossing:
I never restrict my trades to a geographical location. I enjoy sending books to different parts of the world. I just limit my activity to keep the mailing costs down.
If I release a book to you, it's yours! (Except books in rings and rays, of course.) Feel free to do whatever you want with it - read it, release it, trade it, loan it to friends, keep it forever. While I pass on most of the books I receive from other members, I do reserve the right to keep the ones that really move me - I will read them again someday and like to be able to find certain passages when the mood strikes.
