I'm a mom, artist and bibliophile living in Atlanta, GA.

Genres I love are Victorian, Gothic, and British mysteries as well as old-fashioned whodunits, psychological thrillers, art and poetry. Books along the lines of The Alienist by Caleb Carr are right up my alley, as well as books by Anne Perry, and Preston & Child, not to mention anything Sherlock Holmes. As well as Poe...always Poe.

I find great humor in the macabre and also love scary books, like The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson.

Emily Dickinson, Charles Baudelaire and P.B. Shelley are some of my favorite poets, just to name a few. Art Nouveau and the Pre-Raphaelites are two of my most favorite art genres.

I'm addicted to antique and vintage books that I collect, as well as antique dictionaries, especially French Larousse Dictionaries.

Being an aromatherapist, natural perfumer and herbalist, I have an extensive collection of books dating back to the 1800s in those subjects. (Needless to say, those are not up for flying out of my hands...)

Have been known to embarrass my kids by picking up an old book and smelling the pages in thrift stores and flea markets. To me, the aroma of old books is like the scent of time, traveling between this world and the past, with the flip of a page.
