Extended Profile
I'm "retired" but still writing. I've published poetry and am working on an oral history about Bill Bichsel S.J. a Catholic Worker priest, principally about the community he founded on the urban edge of Tacoma and his involvement in the peace movement.
I went to college at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, majored in English and Theater. My last theater experience was with the Pierce County Playwright's Festival. I had some one acts produced. I also direct and act. I always have something to read
- literature and poetry, of course, and plays but I do a considerable amount - like everyone now - of reading in non-fiction. I'm a supporter of small press publications. I was an editor of a local literary magazine - RAVEN CHRONICLES, South Sound Edition.
I subscribe to TIN HOUSE, PRAIRIE SCHOONER and ZYZZYVA and magazines like the New Yorker and Vanity Fair. I'm also a member of a local peace group and Women in Black.
