Extended Profile
In my early 50s, I live with my partner, Randy, and our two quirky black cats, Popcorn and Olivia (who has one eye). Since losing my aunt to sudden throat cancer two years ago, I'm realizing how precious and fleeting time is... We live in a high-rise condo
downtown that overlooks a popular, off-leash dog park, a lovely view to look at while I'm sitting at my desk. Not working due to depression and anxiety, I'm currently in a transitional college program online. Since Randy is a freelancer who works from home,
we are both on our respective computers a lot. We are both avid readers. My interests range from popular fiction to humour (leaning to the "Would You Rather..." sense, groaner jokes and George Carlin), non-fiction including bios, but I especially love horror
(Stephen King, Michael Slade, Dean Koontz) and mystery (Lillian Jackson Braun, Sue Grafton, Jonathan Kellerman, Ira Levin, Robin Cook, John Grisham and Agatha Christie). We both *love* the Harry Potter series, The Hobbit and The Walking Dead graphic novels.
I haven't met many books that I didn't like. Even those I didn't like, I tried to read and I was glad to have tried (like "Behind the Scenes at the Museum" or "The Slap" - just not my style). I'm not an online person, I do enjoy BookMooch, LibraryThing and
especially Postcrossing, as receiving and sending snail mail nowadays is more rare - and can really brighten someone's day, especially now, during the pandemic. I hope that you enjoy this site and that you come to enjoy "crossing" books as much as I do!
