Extended Profile
I'm a huge Star Wars nerd, a sucker for a good page turner, and a ravenous bookworm. I read to pass the time, to expand my mind, and to increase my understanding of the world. I hate "romance" novels, but I love romantic books. I'm always up for a good
mystery. I'll go through a novel in a day if I have nothing urgent to do and it's a good book. I have no patience for stupid people or bad books. I can't say that I'm a fan of religious novels, they're too pushy for my tastes, but
A Prayer for Owen Meaney is still a wonderful tale of friendship, and The Chronicles of Narnia are still good stories. I'm on an eternal quest to find a good novel that can hold and will keep take me more than a week to read. Neal Stephenson's
Cryptonomicon came close to bringing meeting the qualifications, but the end was a disappointment--you got the feeling that the author was tired of writing it and rushed the ending without taking the time to properly tie off all the ends. I'm hoping
that more people in Savannah will start releasing books into the wild, so I can stop blowing every penny on this quest.
