Extended Profile
I come from a family of serious bibliophiles. My father's library, which now numbers in the 12,000's, is drowning us all. Although he refuses to part with any of them, I now feel I'm ready to allow some of my own out to have adventures of their own. What
a wonderful idea. I hope they travel far.
This is the first time I've ever felt it possible to let a book of mine leave my possession for longer than a simple loan. The book-lover and pack-rat in my blood have sharp claws. But this is the way, I'm sure of it.
I think I shall leave a lot of books on subways.
I seem to be releasing mostly children's books that I never got around to reading as a child (and thus have no special attachment to as an adult), other miscellaneous books that I've never been motivated to read, or doubles. Trying to lighten the load a bit, make room for books that I actually want to read.
