I am a widow for four years, live in Des Moines, Iowa, used to work in my husbands insurance agency.. Many, many years ago I was an elementary school teacher. I have three daughters and six grandchildren. Only one daughter lives in Des Moines and the others live in DC and Denver. I have one granddaughter that lives here.
I love doing artsy things with my hands, be it sewing, crafts, oil painting or water color. I enjoy reading but only read it onece, unless it is a cookbook which I read over and over. Sassie Marie, my doggie which is a buff colored cocker spaniel is my best buddy. She follows me from room to room and helps to chase away some of the lonelies that come with living alone. I still read but not as much as I used because I fall asleep in the middle of book. this makes angray but have no control over it. I am a "duplicate bridge" player. We are a breed all of our own but it gets me out and amongst them. My husband and I used to travel to all of the National tournaments all over the United States but I pretty stick at home now that I do not have him as my partner. Nuff about me. I am excited about this program and am going to encoruage some of my friends to join. Elaine
