Extended Profile
Since I worked in a children's library for 24 years, some of my very favorite books are only 32 pages long. But then, less is more, or so they say. I find a poignant and powerful story written in a few pages is a special treat. "Faithful Elephants"' "My
Life With a Wave" and "Poppy the Panda" are fine examples.
Lately I have been naming Barbara Kingsolver as my favorite author of books written for adults. Whether you like novels, nonfiction, poetry or essays....Kingsolver does it all. So my choice for my first "release" is "The Poisonwood Bible". If you can't "catch" it - buy or borrow it!
