My Bookshelf last updated: October 1, 2016

AS OF APRIL 2012 I WON'T BE VERY ACTIVE ON THIS SITE. BUSY TIMES AHEAD. I'LL LIKELY BE BACK AT IT IN LATE FALL. SEE YOU THEN!...Much later=October 1, 2016 I'm dipping my toes back into the BC waters. Its been a long time!

My profile picture is wonderful Chipmunk we encountered on a family camping trip in the mountains of Colorado. One of my all time faves...one of my sons is feeding him Cheezits by hand.

TO THE FINDERS OF MY BOOKS:
In finding this book you not only have caught yourself a book to read, but a whole community of book lovers to share your love of books with! I hope that you will take the time and make a journal entry on the book (you can remain completely anonymous if you like) which lets me know how the book is doing and how you found it. Feel free to keep the book, give it to a friend, or "Wild Release" it again for someone else to find. In any case, I hope you enjoy your book *and* BookCrossing! Scroll up to the "All Books" tab just below my picture to have a look at my bookshelf! Be sure to read the "FAQ's" at the bottom of any page in this site to help answer some questions on how it works here. It is a blast!

ABOUT ME...
I am a 55yo woman that was never much into reading throughout life but many attempts have been made to become a reader. I've always read very slowly and have a wandering mind, requiring me to read and re-read paragraph after paragraph...not very enjoyable. Yet, I've pushed myself over the years and now have started my own book club in another attempt to read more and I'm having success this time. I'm coming along slowly but there is hope. Having the book club really encourages me to read and finish books. And it has sparked much interest in books for me, as has being a member of BookCrossing! So even if I don't read a book, I've purchased, traded, recycled and now BC'd books. That puts them on my shelf and all over my house for any of my family members to grab and I'm happy about that.

My Prayer for the Day

Dear God, So
Far today, I've
Done Alright. I
have not gossiped or lost my temper. I have
not been greedy, grumpy, nasty, selfish or
over-indulgent. I'm very thankful for that.
But, in a few
minutes God,
I'm getting
out of bed,
and then I'll
probably need
a lot more
help. Amen
