The PORTUGUESE BENEVOLENT SOCIETY is a non-profit organization created to promote harmony, education and culture in and about the Luso-Canadian community.

GOALS & OBJECTIVES:

- To advance issues of common concern to Portuguese-Canadians ("Lusofones"), their descendents and friends
- To support individual organizations, clubs or associations advancing issues affecting Lusofones and their descendents in Canada
- To advance, promote and revitalize Portuguese culture, education and heritage in Canada
- To provide opportunities for Lusofones, their descendents and their friends to promote harmony and preservation of the Portuguese culture and heritage and to perform works of benevolence
- To promote and communicate Lusofone concerns at all levels of government
- To do all such other things as are incidental and ancillary to the attainment of the foregoing purposes
