I am a voracious reader and have been all my life. I am totally into Christian fiction. I have been a Christian since 1983 after having been given everything else the world had to offer; sex, drugs and rock 'n roll, money, promotion, divorce and a child. Now I have been married for 19 years to a man with the same history and we have four robust young men. They all know about and have met the Lord and yet some have made their choices. We have an 18 year old who is missing, but he's still alive; a 24 year old who is doing what comes naturally, and a 16 year old and 12 year old still at home. My father just died 5-10 from pancreatic cancer. We miss him and so does my mom. So, suffice it to say being a Christian does not protect you from the troubles of this world! But the Lord will help you get through it, to continue the race until the finish.
I contemplated giving all my books to the church library but I figured no one would read them but other Christians, which is GOOD, but......I wanted people who were like me to read about how other people really live with God in their lives without being all pious and talking to Him using "thees" and "thous". He really is on our side and you can talk to Him like a best friend. The only difference is He can do something about it!!
Okay, well, we live six miles north of our small town. We have a black lab named Buddy and two bunny rabbits. We live on about one acre of land and have a small pond. I am a retired Medical Transcriptionist (started in 1975), and used to run my own independent transcription service out of my home. My kids go to a private Christian school about 15-20 miles away. My dad blessed me with a 2002 Taurus. My husband is training as insurance estimator at a collision center. His job of 16 years, Mead Containerboard, closed. One-and-a-half years after he got on days, too! What a rip!
Well, I probably gave you more of a profile than you ever wanted but I do go on, don't I? Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity. I am tired of dusting all my books but, hey, I thought I might read them all again! I even have some of my late grandma's books also. :) Thanks again
