Extended Profile
I love the way a book feels, the way it looks, the way it smells, and most importantly, the way it speaks.
I love to read great literature (was an English major in college) as well as pop fiction in nearly all genres... My current personal project is to read and release all of Dame Agatha Christie's published novels into the wild. She is my favorite author at the moment - an amazing woman, quite honestly. It's funny how your tastes change, as well. When I was younger, I tried to read her, but couldn't get past the first few pages of a Hercule Poirot novel I found on the nightstand in my grandmother's bedroom. (Now, I'm wishing my grandma were still here, so I could ask her about that book!)
As I read each work, I'm enjoying Charles Osborne's *The Life and Crimes of Agatha Christie* concurrently, a "biographical companion" to her works. It is an absolute treasure ~ a book I'm sure I won't be able to release, unless I come across a second copy somewhere. I'm also anxiously awaiting her *Autobiography* to arrive in my mailbox any day.
While I'm waiting to score her next novel, I'm going to go back and read (re-read the first half) *Perfect Murder, Perfect Town* (Lawrence Schiller) ~ now that I'm in detective mode, maybe I can use my "little grey cells" to figure out who killed JonBenet Ramsey.
Happy Reading, fellow lovers of words...
