I am very passionate and reading, and about writing- I think everyone should be! I have recently had a novella published which has been the hightlight of my writing career up to now. It is called 'Emotional Thump', and depicts the 28 days a young woman is sectioned in a mental hospital. If you are interested in reading it you can buy it at: http://chipmunkapublishing.co.uk/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=894. Or you can check reviews and information about the book at: http://www.myspace.com/louisepymer.

I have a BA (Hons) degree in English with Drama, and an MA in Modern and Contemporary Writing, on which I specialised in creative writing. My tutors have included Deborah Tyler-Bennett, Jonathan Taylor, Raman Mundair, Peter Lewis, Gillian Spraggs, Gordan Ramsay and Chris Jones.

I have a number of other writing credits, including poems in the anthology, ‘Writing for Reading Aloud’. I have also had poetry published in the writing magazine, Monkey Kettle and a one act play in Aesthetica Magazine. My work covers a range of subjects and stories, from family relationships and identity to current news items.

I am a twenty-four year old working in administration at the University of Sheffield language department. And through moving to Sheffield and was lucky enough to meet postgraduate music students, Gavin Magenty and Chris Noble who asked me to write thje libretto for an experimental jazz opera entitled, 'Walk all over me' which was performed in the Drama Studio at the University of Sheffield.

I wish to progress in my writing and get more of my work out to a wide audience, but most of all, I want to encourage the pleasure that can come from reading and learning through reading and writing.
