I am a native Kansan who has loved books since before I could read so I am told by those who knew me then! I work with children and also for a healthcare foundation. I love books - collect too many and so I am looking forward to setting some free for another book lover! I read good fiction, biographies, history, mysteries and memoirs. I am drawn to comedy, family sagas, people who have shown courage in the face of horror. My favorite book is "To Kill a Mockingbird" - favorite authors too numerous to mention but top of the current list is: Barbara Kingsolver, Amy Tan, Langston Hughes, P.D. James, Ruth Rendell, John Steinbeck, John Hersey, James Thurber, P.G. Wodehouse & Christopher Buckely. I am always, always open to discovering new authors.
