Hi fellow and sister readers!
I'm a 54-year-old woman in SW Florida, a transplant from NW Ohio one year ago. I love to read --learned to when I was 4 and have been an avid reader ever since. I was lucky to retire early from the State of Ohio Dept. of Mental Retardation/Developmental Disabilities, where I was an administrator in Toledo Ohio. My hobbies, in addition to reading, include travel, gardening, swimming, following politics (I'm a real left-winger) and learning new things -- my current interest is theology. I am excited to find this group and later today will enter some books and then distribute them into the wild! Wow, what an idea!

I read lots of types of books. My favorite escapist category is mysteries/crime series. Favorite authors in this venue: James Lee Burke, Michael Connolly, Sara Paretsky, Barbara Parker and Patricia Cornwell - to name a few. I love historyand biography, especially political history. Waiting to be read are the biography of John Adams and the third installment of the Lyndon Johnson series by Robert Caro.

My hubby (a retired fire chief) and I love living in south Florida -- the weather is terrific and I can swim and garden year-round. We have 5 children and 2 grandkids, scattered from New Jersey to Texas. Im looking forward to participating in this group.
