Extended Profile
Thanks for stopping by my bookshelf!
I have very eclectic taste in writing. I love: bizarre contemporary literature, travel writing (especially wilderness travel, human-powered travel, & adventure travel), biography, non-fiction (single subject anthologies, sociology, religion, politics and history), writing about food, literary criticism, and magazines (Utne Reader, Oxford American, BUST, Outside, Orion, Saveur, and No Depression to name a few).
I also love to read anything relating to my hobbies: backpacking and mountaineering, yoga and dance, alternative country/roots rock music, librarianship and the ethics of information, politics, and cooking/food writing. I would love to hear from you if you have a recommendation. Please PM me!
My Wish List
I obviously love hiking and I have hiked both the Applachian Trail (Georgia to Maine 1999) and the Pacific Crest Trail (Mexico to Canada 2002) and hope someday to complete the triple crown by thru-hiking the Continental Divide Trail through the Rockies. I have lived in Manhattan, Denver, and Milwaukee and currently Las Vegas where I work as a digital projects librarian.
I love to trade books with folks, so have a look at my bookshelf...
