Extended Profile
This is the bookshelf for Coffee#1, Beaufort Square, Chepstow, Monmouthshire. It overlooks the town square and is well situated for the lovely shops there and the castle which is well worth a visit. There are also some great pubs down by the river.
The bookshelf is managed by bookvole with help from Bookowl1000, who will source the books here from friends, charity shops, the infamous bookbox at Newport University and any unregistered books found at the OBCZ.
I hope other bookcrossers will visit this OBCZ (Official Book Crossing Zone)enjoy the coffee and cake and take a book, or leave one. Please mention Bookcrossing when you visit so that the staff know people are becoming aware of the bookshelf.
Other Coffee#1 shops, such as the three in Cardiff ( Wood St, Wellfield Rd and Albany Rd) and Newport (Commercial St) also have OBCZs, so you can pick up some reading matter there too. There is also an OBCZ in Kemi's Cafe which is in Cardiff Bay and does some mean lunches and cakes.
Cardiff meetups (a gathering of local bookcrossers) are held on the last Saturday of every month. The next one is: Saturday 29th August
From 12:30 onwards
Kemi's Cafe, The Flourish
Cardiff Bay
Meet for lunch and a stroll
round the Bay afterwards
And then: Sunday 27th August
14:00 onwards
Coffee#1, Chepstow
Meet for coffee then stroll
around Chepstow afterwards.
Just turn up and bring a book to release and meet other avid readers. Look for the table with the books!
Please let Molekilby or Cassiopaeia know you are coming if you are travelling any distance to be there, just in case we have had any last minute changes.
