Literature is my passion thus far. In school, I excel in most subjects, but only really enjoy English (thanks to a wonderful teacher in ninth grade). I've often thought of majoring in English and literature. Even if I don't, nothing will ever compare to the sense of comfort that a fabulous novel gives me. I read my favorite books at least once a year (and usually during a predetermined season) because they're more than just stories for me -- they're an escape, and a connection to fond memories and emotions.
