Extended Profile
I'm a compulsive crafter, seamstress, This American Life super-fan, postcardx.net 'er and embroideress. Making things daily keeps me sane. Also an avid reader and (guilty pleasure) book-on-tape listener, especially for books I can't justify sitting down
to read but would like to hear the story. I'm close to the beach and love to go walking there, stopping by my favorite coffee shops in Shell Beach & Pismo Beach to read and relax.
My two boys have also caught both my crafting & reading bug and we try to read for an hour or so every night. Finding books for a first grader AND sixth grader has not been as challenging as you might think as they are both open and I think enjoy the snuggles as much as the story. My husband usually has a book with him as well. Mostly books on Ireland & other non fiction but I did pass on I Know This Much Is True by Wally Lamb, which he quite enjoyed so I think he's finding new fiction to enjoy again.
I'm an active anti clutter bug yet have filled our house with books. I buy and sell used books, usually keeping most of the days haul, so my bookshelf is not an accurate list of what I actually read. Looking forward to sharing some of my finds, after all, every one deserves a good book.
Would love to trade books as well...
