i love to read, i love to share books, i love to meet new people.
thrilling to watch people finding a book you have released. less thrilling to find they never send a message. :-(
but i guess we are here to learn to let go with a laugh and a "hey, another day, another book..." ;-)
i love to buy second hand books and have some cool finds from the 40s to the 70s i am going to put into my virtual shelf, too.
unfortunately, lots of it is in german, a language unspoken by many of you nice people across the water... there's two solutions: ask for my books in english or learn german (it's not that difficult, whatever others might say :-)). if you're very very nice (like begging or sending expensive gifts) i might consider sending you short versions of german books in english together with explaining sketches... hehe.
like everybody else, too, i do have books i could never part with because they are memories. nevertheless i am willing to share them and i'm going to add them to my bookshelf. they are indicated with an asterisk. feel free to ask for any book you're interested in.

here's my bookshelf on one page (bit easier to handle ;-))
casualreader.net/bookshelf/21st hope you enjoy it!

please, check this: www.timetales.com - it's a nice collection of old photos and you can even contribute.

You're Love in the Time of Cholera!

by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

Like Odysseus in a work of Homer, you demonstrate undying loyalty by
sleeping with as many people as you possibly can. But in your heart you never give
consent! This creates a strange quandary of what love really means to you. On the
one hand, you've loved the same person your whole life, but on the other, your actions
barely speak to this fact. Whatever you do, stick to bottled water. The other stuff
could get you killed.

on other days i'm this:

You're Mrs. Dalloway!

by Virginia Woolf

Your life seems utterly bland and normal to the casual observer, but
inside you are churning with a million tensions and worries. The company you surround
yourself with may be shallow, but their effects upon your reality are tremendously deep.
To stay above water, you must try to act like nothing's wrong, but you know that the
truth is catching up with you. You're not crazy, you're just a little unwell. But no
doctor can help you now.
