What a great book... it really wrenched at my heart! There were moments when I ached to embrace Marianne and comfort her while wanting to pummel her family... then there were other times I yearned to ease the pain of the family members while desiring to shake Marianne! What an emotional ride... This book exemplifies how traumas in our lives can affect everyone involved in ways that are not apparent... turmoil going on on the inside coupled with the completely wrong expression of it on the outside!!! This book has earned a place in my heart and a spot on my bookshelves in hardback...
