I was pleasantly surprised to find this book laying on a ledge at one of our eateries in the Old Historic District of North Charleston, SC. I'm from Brooklyn originally and have lived here in Charleston for 20+ years.

The title of course intrigued me and I've heard of the sayingm not necessarily associating it with a book. Read it, loved it and couldn't put it down. It was a compelling story and brought back many a memory of life and lore in Brooklyn, NY.

I hope that the next reader reads and enjoys!
