Took a while to get going and grip me - but once it did I couldn't put it down and had to finish it in one sitting. Moody, dark and menacing - but beautifully written and totally absorbing.

The book's journey is as follows: kept on my shelf until our local library got hold of copies for our U3A Reading Group, a couple of months ago. But we were still short of copies and I had to find another six in various charity shops in Surrey, Cambs, Hants etc.

When we'd finished the book I donated all copies to the library except for two - my own and this bookcrossing copy.

As I was meeting up with a friend met through BookCrossing in Nottingham, the book accompanied me by train from Cambs to Nottingham. I dashed down into the basement where three BCers were meeting up, released the book & one other on to the shelves and had to dash off.

Didn't journal the release till now as we've had family staying.

Ok....really don`t know how this book got from Cambridgeshire to Nottinghamshire but it took five and a half years to do it!!
I chose it from the table at the Notts bookcrossers meet up today.Apparantly this is one of the 1001 books and had mixed reviews at the meet.
Added to mount TBR.

Found in a box of books after moving house. I need the room so I will set this one on it’s travels again soon.
