Sleeping Beauty retold...to a certain extent. Interesting and rather unusual approach to the questions of identity, origins and family history/mysteries. The silence of the survivors results in questions without answers, but these are nonetheless pondered by their descendants. I remain fascinated by stories of WWII and this is another, rather original, perspective.

Amazingly sad book and a great metaphor was created around the story of Sleeping Beauty. I can not help but feel a big dark cloud on top of my head when I finished the book and think of all the non-fiction behind it. It made me cry at times but still I think is completely worth reading it. Just hoped it had a happier ending...
